Who we are

Dealhalcyon is an online education provider delivering entrepreneurship and startup courses to founders and aspiring business owners across Australia. When we talk about "we", "us" or "Dealhalcyon" in this policy, we mean the company that operates this website at dealhalcyon.space and delivers the courses you enrol in.

What we collect

We only collect information we actually need to run the courses and answer your questions. Depending on how you interact with us, that can include:

  • Enrolment details — your name, email address, phone number and the course tier you selected.
  • Billing information — processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
  • Course activity — submissions, worksheet answers and progress notes you share with your coach.
  • Technical data — anonymised page views, referrers, browser type and country, gathered through standard analytics.

How we use your information

The main reason we hold your data is to deliver the course you signed up for. That means sending session reminders, sharing recorded materials, giving you feedback and invoicing you correctly. We also use your email to send occasional alumni updates, but only where you have opted in.

We will never sell your personal information to third parties or bundle it into a marketing list for someone else. Where we use processors — for example, our video hosting platform or email service — they are contractually required to handle your data in line with Australian Privacy Principles and, where relevant, the EU GDPR.

Your rights

You have the right to see what information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong and to ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time with a single click.

  • Request a copy of your personal data by emailing us.
  • Update your details through your student account or by contacting support.
  • Ask us to close your account and remove your records, subject to legal retention requirements.

Security and retention

We store data on reputable cloud infrastructure with encrypted connections, access controls and routine backups. We keep enrolment records for seven years to meet Australian tax obligations, and delete marketing preferences as soon as you ask.

If you ever believe your data has been mishandled, contact us first — we take those conversations seriously and will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You also have the option to escalate a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
